Social Policy and Forensic Psychiatry

Helping to improve the fabric of society.  Since 1995, we have been increasingly active in word processing documents relating to social policy. Documents we have word processed have helped shape United Kingdom public policy and also train individuals in such areas as special needs housing, domestic violence, residential projects for offenders, work with victims and witnesses, community safety, youth justice, community and race relations, family court welfare work, community safety and crime prevention.

Munchausen Syndrome by proxy.  Very recently, we word processed a doctoral dissertation (shortly to be published) on Munchausen Syndrome by Proxy. This was in two volumes, the first of which is an extensive literature review covering all aspects of this condition. The second volume is concerned with the development of a psychological instrument called the Maternal Questionnaire for use in the diagnosis of MSBP by staff untrained in psychiatry. In addition to word processing the dissertation itself, we also helped in producing the actual questionnaire forms used in the research. The second volume contained complex charts, diagrams, box-and-whisker plots and a glossary, and of course the first volume contained an enormous bibliography of books and articles on MSBP covering the state of knowledge of this condition over many years.
