How we work
You fill
out an enquiry form (see the next page) giving details of who you are, what you are interested
in having done, and your turn-round time requirements. For text-based work, you will need to fax or scan and e-mail a sample of
your work which we will use as a basis for estimating. For tape-based work, it will be helpful if you can produce a WAV file or
MP3 file with a small segment of the recording as a sample. We e-mail you an estimate for the work based on the sample and the
information you have provided on the scope and size of the entire job and we will notify you
of the amount of the subscription you will need to remit based on the size of your job.
If our estimate is acceptable, we will require payment up
front of a subscription fee to be sent along with the job and for work with a tight deadline, we
will require the full amount of the estimate to be sent up front. Facilities for payment by credit card are not yet implemented but we
anticipate being able to receive your deposit online in the not too distant future. In the
meantime, we will need cheques in sterling to cover the deposit amount indicated in the
estimate. Depending on the size of the job,
you should either post it to us or fax it to us or scan it and e-mail it to us. At the present time,
tapes need to be sent to us by post but a digital dictation option may be implemented soon.
We strongly advise you to keep copies of any material posted. When the job is complete, we will let you know by e-mail that the job is
ready and what amount you will need to forward to us in settlement of our
charges. The completed job will either be
posted to you or e-mailed to you upon receipt of cleared payment. You should get back to us within 10 working days of
receipt of the job with any requests for amendment or correction. These will always be done
free of charge if they arise owing to our fault provided the original was clear. Otherwise,
modifications are chargeable.
