Direct work for general practitioners. We handle nearly all of the routine correspondence for a group practice consisting of six  GPs. This includes routine referrals as well as in-house contractual matters and correspondence relating to staffing, rotas, locum services, nursing services, clinics, services by the GPs to nearby old age homes and services by one of the partners to a health service day centre for the homeless. We are currently in the process of helping the practice manager establish a paperless office. File copies of correspondence are provided on disk and uploaded in house at off-peak times by the surgery staff onto the surgery's computer. Direct computer link enabling us to upload direct may be implemented at some time in the future.

Medico-legal reports. Over many years, we have word processed medico-legal reports and allied correspondence for a well-known and highly respected expert in psychiatry with an extensive medico-legal practice, dealing with his routine correspondence, medico-legal reports and supplementary reports, review of records, appointments for examinations and court appearances. . We have also done similar work for other psychiatrists, psychotherapists, a hand surgeon and a professor of gynaecology.

Book length presentations.  We have done book-length theses for medical students, especially in obstetrics and gynaecology but also in psychiatry. One dissertation currently in press is a two-volume magnum opus including a literature review and describing the development of instruments for the use of  staff not specifically trained in psychiatry in the assessment of Munchausen Syndrome by Proxy. The object is to pinpoint who the real patient is and ensure that perpetrators of MSBP are offered timely and necessary therapy.
