The structural
concrete study. The most important
technical document which we have word processed was in the area of structural engineering.
It was a study which outlined the state of knowledge concerning the structural properties
and durability of reinforced concrete. It examined what is known - and what is not known --
about the ability of structural concrete to withstand impact, wind and water, explosion, fire,
and general wear and tear. It outlined some of the methods by which concretes,
aggregates and mixes are tested in laboratory conditions to simulate real life conditions.
Complete with formulae of considerable complexity, it posed interesting word processing
challenges. The document has been published by the Health and Safety Executive.
